Terms of Service

These are the rules for using the Donegal Job Directory — what you can expect of us, and what we ask of you. Please read them before you post a vacancy or apply for one.

Who we are, and what this is

The Donegal Job Directory (“we”, “the Directory”) is an online noticeboard that publishes job vacancies across County Donegal and lets people apply to them. We provide the platform; we are not the employer, the recruiter, or a party to any application or contract of employment that follows. Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Directory.

Using the Directory

  • Be truthful. Give accurate information about yourself, your company and your vacancies, and keep it up to date.
  • One account, kept secure. You sign in with Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at info@donegaljobs.com if you think it has been misused.
  • Fair use. Do not scrape, copy or harvest listings or CVs in bulk, disrupt the service, or try to reach data that is not yours.
  • Eligibility. The Directory is for adults using it for genuine employment purposes — to find work, or to hire.

If you place vacancies

Employers who post a vacancy agree that:

  • The vacancy is real, current, and one you are entitled to advertise.
  • The advertisement is lawful and does not discriminate on any ground protected by Irish employment equality law, and it names no unlawful requirement.
  • You will use applicants’ details — including any CV — only to consider them for that vacancy, and you will handle those details in line with data-protection law. You do not pass them on, sell them, or reuse them for anything else.
  • You will not post misleading listings, fees-to-apply schemes, or anything that is not a genuine job.

If you apply for work

Job seekers who apply agree that:

  • The details and CV you submit are your own and are honest.
  • When you apply to a vacancy, you are choosing to share your CV and application with that employer. How your CV is stored and who can read it is set out in our Privacy notice.
  • You will not upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to share.

Content you post

You keep ownership of the content you place on the Directory — your vacancies, company details, profile and CV. By posting it, you give us permission to store and display it on the site so the Directory can do its job, for as long as the content runs or your account is open. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

Removing content and closing accounts

We may edit or remove a listing, or suspend or close an account, if it breaks these terms, is unlawful, or risks harm to other users or to the Directory — where practical, we will tell you why. You can remove your own listings, delete your CV, or ask us to close your account at any time; deletion is set out in the Privacy notice.

What we do not promise

The Directory is a noticeboard, provided “as is”. We do not vet, endorse, or guarantee any employer, applicant, vacancy or the accuracy of any listing, and we are not a party to what passes between an employer and an applicant. We do not promise that you will find work or fill a role, or that the site will always be available or error-free. Deciding whether a vacancy or a candidate is right for you remains your own judgement.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the Directory, from any dealing with another user, or from any listing — including lost opportunities, lost earnings, or indirect loss. This does not affect your rights under Irish law that cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Directory.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged to signed-in users. Continuing to use the Directory after a change means you accept the updated terms.
